Jackie Stephenson, Sr. Obituary
Jackie Dale Stephenson Sr., 69, died Friday, Jan. 17, 2025, at his home after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born Dec. 14, 1955 to Virginia Burris and Harold Stephenson in Portland, Ark., who preceded him in death. His brother William(Steve) Stephenson also preceded him in death. Jack worked 42 years for the Arkansas Geological Survey.
Jack enjoyed the outdoors and hunting, and shared that love with his son, J.D., and was his son’s biggest fan at ball games.
Jack married Debbie Moran Stephenson in 1987, who he leaves to cherish his memory. In addition to his son, daughter-in-law Destanee, and two granddaughters, Ripley and Maisie, survivors include a brother, Dewayne Stephenson, and several nieces and nephews.
Celebration of life will be held at noon, Feb. 1, 2025, at Springlake Nazarene.
. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Jack’s honor be made to Arkansas Wildlife Federation.
