Jackie Lynn Traylor passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023, in Florence, MS. He was 44 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation from 11:00a.m.-1:00p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, MS.
Jackie was born on October 9, 1979, to Jackie Dean Cockrell and Brenda Sue Traylor Cockrell in South Jackson, MS. He was raised by his grandparents, Nicholas and Claudette Weems. Jackie loved to fish. He loved football and was a big Miami Dolphins fan. He always avoided confrontation no matter what the situation. His son has memories of him throwing the football with him. Jackie had a heart of gold. He loved eating and his favorite was milk and cereal. Jackie will truly be missed.
Jackie is preceded in death by his grandparents; mother, Brenda Sue Cockrell; and cousin, Randy Traylor. He is survived by his sons, James Traylor of Crystal Springs, MS, and Jake Traylor of Byram, MS; father, Jackie Dean Cockrell of Jackson, MS; cousins, Benny Ivey of Florence, MS, Danny Ivey of Vicksburg, MS, Angel Adams of Florence, MS, and John Traylor of Braxton, MS; sister, Dawn Convoy of Denver; and close friends, Dee Ingram, and Destiny Wilmoth.
