Jackie Trevillyan

Jackie Trevillyan, 90, of Winterset, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Friday, December 16, at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, Winterset Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 17 at the funeral home.
Mary Jacquelyn "Jackie" Harrell was born on May 20, 1932 to Cliff and Gertrude "Gertie" (DeBok) Harrell at home in Lincoln Township. She was the youngest of seven children and a life-long resident of Madison County.
She grew up on the farm attending rural grade schools. Most remembered was the country school, Monroe #1. She graduated from St. Charles High School class of 1950.
Jackie married Delbert Trevillyan on December 10, 1955 at the Methodist Church in Winterset. On Saturday, December 10, 2022, one day before her death, marked their 67 years of marriage.
After high school graduation, Jackie worked for Ritter Insurance agency until starting a family and raising three children. Later, she worked for the Winterset Community School lunch program for 28 years.
Jackie enjoyed attending all her children's and grandchildren's activities. This year she was excited about becoming a great grandmother. Her hobbies included crocheting, sewing and quilting. Jackie never missed attending the Iowa State Fair. She entered many different competitions and won several ribbons in the fabric and threads department. A must do always included a ride on the "Ye Old Mill".
Jackie and Delbert were honored by the Winterset Community Schools as Husky fans of the year from 1993-1994. Jackie was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary #8142 of Winterset.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Delbert Harrell, Clifford "Junior" Harrell, Robert "Bob" Harrell; sisters Alma Duff, Zelma Libby and Margaret Guthrie.
Jackie is survived by husband Delbert Trevillyan of Winterset; daughters Marcia Trevillyan of West Des Moines, Teresa (Donnie) Little of Des Moines; son Dennis (Maribeth) Trevillyan of Adel; granddaughters Daphane (Tim) Bjork of Kelley, Buphie Trevillyan of Adel; and great-granddaughter Everleigh Bjork of Kelley.
