Jackson Charles Gervasio, age 21, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, passed away on July 5, 2025, in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Born in Sault Ste. Marie, Jackson brought light, warmth, and kindness into the lives of all who knew him. He was known for his infectious laughter, compassionate heart, and unwavering loyalty to his friends and family. Whether through his humor, creativity, or vibrant spirit, Jackson made an impact far beyond his years. His magnetic personality drew people in effortlessly, and everyone who knew Jackson loved him.
Jackson was attending Northern Michigan University, where he was majoring in Construction Management. He was preparing to begin his senior year of college. This summer, he was completing an internship with Kokosing Construction in Virginia.
A graduate of Sault Area High School, Jackson was a talented and dedicated athlete. He played hockey, golf, soccer, was a pole vaulter on the track team, and also competed on the rifle team. He was known for his strong presence in the locker room, natural leadership abilities, and consistently positive personality.
Jackson pursued life with curiosity and drive. His passion was golf, and on May 14th of this year, he proudly achieved his first hole-in-one. He loved the outdoors and exploring-always up for an adventure. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and hiking, and found peace and excitement in time spent in nature.
Jackson is survived by his parents, Dan and Julia Gervasio, and his best girl, Zook Dog; his grandparents BG (and the late Jay) Cobb, Donna and Terry Paquette, Mike and Patty Gervasio, and Greg Nault; his Aunt Jacey Cook; Uncle Jared and Aunt Nicole Cobb; Aunt Nikki and Uncle Isaac McKechnie; and cousins Alec Cook, Logan Cook, Jay Cobb, Sawyer Dowd, and Adeleigh Dowd. He is also survived by many extended family members and an incredible group of friends who stood by him, laughed with him, and made life all the more vibrant through their deep bond.
A Celebration of Jackson's Life will be held at Family Life Funeral Home in Sault Ste. Marie on Friday, July 11, 2025. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with the Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 p.m. A luncheon will follow the service.
