Jackson Leroy Marshall (62) passed away peacefully on May 7th, 2025 surrounded by loved ones in Knoxville, Tennessee. Jack was born July 27, 1962 in Washington DC to parents Gloria (Johnson) and Robert Marshall. Raised in Accokeek, Maryland and moved to Tennessee in November of 2009.
Jack is survived by the love of his life and wife of 43 years, Joan Marshall (Powell). His daughter Roseanna Thompson, son in law Donnell Thompson. Grandchildren DJ Thompson, DeAnna Thompson, Delilah Thompson, Jackson Marshall III, Johnathan Marshall, Summer Marshall, Benjamin Marshall, Bentley & Brantley Forester and June Jinx. Also survived by his best friend and dog, Jake. He is preceded in death by his parents Gloria & Robert Marshall, son Jackson Marshall Jr and brothers Johnny & Richard Marshall.
Jack will be remembered as a devoted husband and dedicated father. The hardest of workers with the most genuine heart. If you met Jack, you loved him, it was as simple as that. He loved music, fishing, golf, meeting new people and all things seafood. What he loved and enjoyed most was his grandchildren. Spending time with them, talking with them on the phone and watching them grow, he was the most proud and supportive Pop Pop.
The family would like to thank the hospital staff at Tennova North for their efforts and care. No arrangements have been made at this time.
Cremation was chosen with no services planned at this time.
