Barre, VT
Jackson Rule Meleady, of Barre, Vermont, passed away unexpectedly on August 11, 2024, due to a tragic accident.
He was born on February 6, 1997 in Long Island, NY, the son of Richard Meleady and Linda Schwaner. He attended Union 32 High School, graduating in 2015. He then attended Job Corp and became a certified welder.
Jackson was a hardworking and skilled general contractor employed by Devino Plumbing of Essex Junction, VT. He utilized his many mechanical skills working on his truck and motorcycle both of which he loved.
He had a passion for fishing, hunting, and the outdoors. Jack loved playing with all of his dogs over the years and any that crossed his path. Jack loved nature and inherited a love of birds from his Nana.
Jackson was beyond compassionate; not just to his many friends but also to strangers who he would often engage in conversation wanting to know more about their lives. Jack judged no one and embraced everyone.
He is survived by his father, Richard Meleady of Morgantown, WV and his mother, Linda Schwaner of East Montpelier, VT, and his brother, Cole Meleady of Burlington, VT. Jackson will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and colleagues.
Jackson's family will host visiting hours on Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Guare & Sons Funeral Home to honor Jackson's memory and celebrate his life. The ceremony will provide an opportunity for all who knew and loved Jackson to pay their respects and share cherished memories.
Jackson's absence leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him, his smile and amazing sense of humor will never be forgotten. May he rest in peace.
