JACKSON JACOB SCANLAN, 16, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 7:19 am, Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at his father’s house in Percy, Illinois.
He was born to Jacob and Shelley (nee Cushman) Scanlan on February 16, 2009, in Belleville, Illinois.
Jackson was a junior at Chester High School, Chester, Illinois, and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Chester, Illinois.
Jackson carved his own path, a truly unique spirit whose presence brought comfort and laughter. He would spend hours playing his video games or in the company of his friends. He loved spending time with his family, but there was a profound, unconditional love he held just for his siblings. The memory of those spontaneous drives with his sister, windows down, singing every word to every song, and ending with a simple dinner at Tequila's.
His family will truly love Jackson and will be missed by everyone.
