Jackson Spease Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary and Cemetery - Scottsdale on Jul. 19, 2025.
Jackson Allen Spease, aged 84 days unfortunately passed away in his parents arms at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ on July 19th, 2025. Jackson was born 15 weeks early weighing 1lb 4oz due to a condition called reversed end-diastolic flow (REDF) which caused IUGR and eventually put him into distress resulting in an emergency c-section. After a long and brave battle in the NICU on a ventilator against multiple medical conditions, including Trisomy 21, a severe brain bleed, heart defects, cystic chronic lung disease and pulmonary hypertension which was the ultimate cause of his death, he joined loved ones in heaven after gently passing into the loving arms of Jesus.

Jackson is survived by his parents Carissa and Jahmal, his siblings Jaylen and Lilah, & many others who love him dearly. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing sweet Jackson knows he was the sweetest and feistiest boy in the NICU. He loved to keep his nurses busy and everyone on their toes. Jackson loved his mommy singing "you are my sunshine" and daddy's encouraging words, Jackson was picky about his nurses and definitely had favorites. Nurse Carlene, Caylie and Alysha knew exactly how to care for him and he loved them for it.

Jackson touched the hearts of everyone who knew him, he brought light into everyones lives and made the stress of the situation, worth it. Jackson gave his family 3 wonderful months that they will cherish forever. He will be greatly missed but always remembered.

"Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart" - Winnie the Pooh.
