Jacob Kawika Abraham Chock ("Jake") Age: 37 Date of Passing: December 16, 2025 Residence: Waterbury, Vermont Birthplace: Honolulu, Hawai'i
Jacob Kawika Abraham Chock ("Jake"), 37, of Waterbury, Vermont, passed away on December 16, 2025. Born in Honolulu, Hawai'i, Jacob was proud of his Kanaka Maoli heritage and carried the spirit of aloha throughout his life. Jacob was deeply loved by his family and friends. He had a love for music his Ukulele was one of his most prized possessions. He would play at times and those who were lucky enough to know him experienced the most loving parts of him through his music. Jacob was funny, outgoing and an all-around athlete growing up. He played multiple sports including soccer, basketball, track, paintball, and baseball. He always had a love for history. Growing up he would watch the History channel at the expense of his other siblings (who might have wanted to watch cartoon network). He really loved learning different periods in time. Jacob had many desires throughout the years he was a lifelong learner. At times his interests would peak, and he would talk for hours/watch videos on the subject/project. He talked about blacksmiths and forging Medieval type weapons. He often talked about being part of the wrong generation. His love of all things old was a true passion he carried throughout his entire life. There were other times in his life where the Mycenaean era (Bronze Age) and his love for the Odyssey was also a true passion of his. Jacob attended Tombstone High, (Home of the Yellow Jackets) which is quite funny as he was allergic to bees! He is remembered by his friends as a kindred soul. Through the years and being away from his homelands Jacob did the best he could to still be the little Island born Hawaiian who would give the shirt off his back to someone more in need than him. He was always so protective of the people he loved and cared for. He became a lover of gaming and built connections with the online world and gaming community. Jacob is loved and missed by more people than he ever knew while he was on this earth.
He is survived by his mother, Elaine K. Rosenlund (Opulauoho); his dad, Aaron W. Rosenlund (Rae Rosenlund); and his father, David K. Chock. He is also survived by his siblings, Adam A.
