Jacob "Jake" Brown

Jacob Paul Brown, age 21, began his eternal walk with Jesus Monday, August 15, 2022, following an automobile accident.
A native of Fort Mill, Jacob was the son of Brian Paul Brown and Janet Ellen Allsopp Brown. He graduated from Nation Ford High School in 2019, where he played Lacrosse and was a member of the NAFO drum line. Jake was a car enthusiast, and you could usually find him working on his Honda Civic, at a Cars and Coffee meet, or burning the rubber off his new tires. He enjoyed the small things in life like fishing, collecting matchbox cars, and decorating his desk with plastic dinosaurs and polaroids of friends. He loved all of God s creation, particularly enjoying family beach vacations, driving the mountains, and catching reptiles. Jacob always knew what to say to make a tough situation lighter. His goofy, fun personality brought us so much joy. He loved talking about cars with his Dad, dissecting music and the universe with his sister, and doing just about everything else with his Mom. Jacob was one of the most selfless people you would ever meet; he had a big heart, a giving spirit, and always gave the best hugs. He loved his family endlessly and spoke about his friends as if they were family too.
Jake is survived by parents, Brian and Janet Brown of Fort Mill; his sister and brother-in-law, Virginia (Gini) Brown Bettini and Jordan Bettini of Raleigh, NC; his paternal grandfather, Paul Henry Brown of Altoona, Pennsylvania; his butterbean, Katie (dog); and his Rocket Man, Elton (cat).
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Danny and Irene Allsopp, and his paternal grandmother, Mary Ellen Brown.
Jacob s visitation will be from 11am until 1pm on Saturday, 20 August 2022, at the Worship Center at First Baptist Church of Fort Mill. The Celebration of Life Service, officiated by Rev. Johnny Caruso and the Rev. James Merritt, will follow at 1pm. The burial will be held directly after at Unity Cemetery.
