Jacob Cano Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by South Park Funeral Home and Cemetery - Pearland on Jan. 1, 2025.
It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved son and brother, Jacob Cano, aged 38 on December 21, 2024. Born October 12, 1986, in Houston, Texas. He is proceeded in death by his grandmothers, Angie Partida, Benilda Flores; grandfather, Jose Isabel Partida; uncles, Julian Partida and Robert Flores. Jacob is survived by his parents, Rafael Cano Jr., Carmen Partida and partner Guadalupe Flores; brothers, Rafael Moises Cano, Michael Aaron Cano; Aunts, Maria Zepeda & family, Yecenia Kirby & family, Katie Flores & family; uncles, Mark Flores & family, Edgar Lee Flores & family; and a host of other family members and friends.
Jacob brought immeasurable joy & light into our lives with his kind heart, radiant smile and boundless humor. Though his time with us was brief, the depth of love and happiness he shared will forever remain in our hearts. He showed his kindness by visiting and spending time with neighbors who were too sick to get out of bed or by volunteering on Thanksgiving helping the needy. Jacob had many friends, many who he remained close since elementary school. He was an avid sports fan and followed all the sports from basketball, football to baseball. He loved attending home games and one of his greatest sports highlights was when he attended the 2022 World Series and the Houston Astros won the championship. His other love was collecting Tennis Shoes. He always had a collection of the latest styles. Although he had many pairs of shoes, he always made sure to share a pair or two that were in mint condition with his cousins.
Jacob worked for the windmill industry for 16 years where he traveled frequently. He got to travel to cities such as New York City, Chicago and San Francisco; however, his heart always remained in Houston.
A service celebrating Jacob Cano's life will be held on January 11, 2025, at South Park at 10:00 a.m. where friends and family are invited to remember a life that although short, was truly a gift to us all.
