Jacob J DeGiacomo

Jacob "Jake" John DeGiacomo, 31, of North Caldwell, NJ, passed away on June 28, 2025. Born on May 3, 1994, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson, Jake was a beloved son, brother, grandson, cousin, and friend whose vibrant spirit and generous heart touched everyone he met.

Jake grew up in North Caldwell, graduated from West Essex High School, and went on to earn his associate degree. He spent every summer at the Jersey Shore in Lavallette and Mantoloking, where he loved boating and riding WaveRunners. Jake worked for the State of New Jersey at the Passaic Valley facility in Newark.

He had a presence that lit up any room. Whether sharing a laugh, offering help, or talking sports, Jake brought comfort and connection to those around him. His memory will live on in the lives he enriched.

Jake is survived by his loving parents, Mark DeGiacomo and Lisa DeGiacomo; his devoted sister, Chelsea; and his grandmother, Patricia Marzella. He will be deeply missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, step-siblings, and friends who were like family.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at 11:00 am at Notre Dame Church in North Caldwell, NJ to celebrate Jake's life. The family will be receiving guests beginning at 10:30 am. Funeral services are entrusted to Shook-Farmer Funeral Home, shookfarmer.com.
