Jacob Duchinsky Obituary

Published by Blount & Curry Funeral Home - Terrace Oaks Chapel on Nov. 5, 2013.
DUCHINSKY, Jacob Anthony "Duke," 69, of Temple Terrace, FL, entered into rest Tuesday, November 5, 2013. He was born August 9, 1944 in New York, NY to his parents, Morton and Alice Duchinsky. Survivors include his loving wife, Hilda E. Duchinsky; sons, Anthony P. Duchinsky of Temple Terrace, Eric J. Duchinsky and his wife Maria of Brooklyn, NY; grandchildren, Krysten L. Duchinsky of Brooklyn and Justin M. Duchinsky of Temple Terrace; great granddaughter, Nayelli Y. Duchinsky of Brooklyn; sister, Alice I. Duchinsky of New Rochelle, NY and many loving family and friends. Duke's deep love of music was ever present his entire life, from singing "doo wop" with friends back on the streets of New York, to performing karaoke in order to brighten the days of many residents of the nursing and assisted living facilities throughout Tampa Bay. Late in life he found his true calling by becoming a certified CNA, in order to extend his caring nature to those in need of physical and emotional support during difficult times. This was one of the many accomplishments that he was most proud of. He will be missed by those who's lives he touched. Visitation will be from 11:30 A.M. – 1:30 P.M., Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Blount & Curry, Terrace Oaks Chapel, followed by a Mass of Resurrection at Mary Help of Christians Parish beginning at 2 P.M.
