Jacob Higadera, born on May 22, 2005, in Tolleson, Arizona, passed away unexpectedly on December 16, 2025, in Phoenix, Arizona. Jacob was a shining star in the lives of many, exemplifying a rare blend of competitiveness and compassion, which earned him admiration and love from all who knew him.
Jacob was proud to have served as a Manager at Blue Beacon Truck Wash, a position he embraced with great devotion and enthusiasm. His career was not merely a job for him; it was a passion that reflected the loving soul he carried within. He embraced life with palpable joy, often channeling that energy into the hobby that brought him peace – spending quality time with his beloved girlfriend, Nikki Mendoza, whom he cherished deeply since 2021.
Education played a significant role in Jacob’s life, as he proudly graduated from La Jolla High School in Avondale, Arizona. One of his proudest accomplishments was being the only freshman on the Varsity Football Team, a testament to his dedication and drive. Beyond academics and athletics, Jacob had an insatiable love for family, particularly enjoying moments spent with his brothers and sisters: Jojo, Juliana, Dezmarie, Mari, Mia, Alexander, Luciano, Vincent, Lorenzo, and Elias. He cherished visiting San Diego and indulging in his Grandpa Gilbert’s famous tamales.
Jacob will be profoundly missed by his loving mother Desirae Hernandez and step-father John Delgado, his dear siblings, and a multitude of cousins. His playful spirit lives on in the hearts of Baby James, Josh, Juju, Jordan, Jalisa, Adri, and Baby Gilbert, all of whom carry a piece of his joyful essence with them.
The coming together of family and friends will honor Jacob’s memory at Avenidas Funeral Chapel, located at 522 E Western Ave, Avondale, AZ 85323. Visitation will be held on December 22, 2025, with doors opening at 3:00 PM and continuing until 5:00 PM. The love and support surrounding Jacob during this time will underline how immensely he was loved in life, echoing the sentiment that his spirit will continue to touch those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Though his time was fleeting, Jacob Higadera leaves behind a legacy rich in love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. His competitive heart, compassionate nature, and the warmth he brought to every relationship are imprinted forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
