Jacob Cooper Listul

Jacob Cooper "Bear" Listul died unexpectedly at home in the early hours of August 26, 2022. He was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Gwen and Warren Listul.
Cooper enjoyed life out on the Colorado plains. Climbing trees, fishing, finding tadpoles and helping tame the kittens with his sister as a busy kid. He obtained the rank of Life Scout through Troop 14 in Calhan, Colorado. A "big man" with a big heart, Cooper often helped out neighbors, volunteered at church and was the first one you could call if you were broke down. You could often find Cooper rolling around town in one of his trucks. A self taught mechanic and welder, Cooper worked for Branding Iron Trailers in Falcon, Colorado for the last three and a half years.
He will be sorely missed by his close friends and family. He left this world way too soon.
Cooper is preceded in death by his mother, Gwen (Torpey) Listul; three uncles, Dennis Listul of Stratton, Colorado, Dan Listul of Elbert, Colorado, and Leo Torpey of Elwell, Michigan.
He is survived by his father, Warren Listul of Calhan, Colorado; and his sister, Katherine Listul.
Celebration of Life, 11:00AM, Saturday, October 1, 2022, Kiowa Creek Community Church, Fellowship Hall, 231 Cheyenne Street, Kiowa, Colorado 80117. Lunch to follow the service.
Inurnment at Elizabeth Cemetery, 598 West Kiowa Avenue, Elizabeth, Colorado 80107.
