Jacob “Jake” Martinez

Jacob L. Martinez, age 39, of Albuquerque, NM, was born on January 11, 1985. Jacob
unexpectedly passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 4th, 2024.
He is survived by his mother, Maria Montoya, and stepdad, Joseph Montoya; Brother
Cody and his wife, Angel Winningham; Stepbrothers, Joseph and Jordan Montoya; and
stepsisters Mariah Zamora and Leandra Montoya.
Niece Isabella Winningham & Nephews Isaiah, & Malachi Winningham Elario &
Christopher Jr. Martinez. Aunties Nicole Sena & Anna & Joe Lovato.
Cousins Esperanza, Tomas Sena, & Carolina Blea
Uncle & Aunt Gary & Mary Martinez, as well as many more family members & friends
whom he loved dearly.
Jacob was a pillar of love, strength, kindness & wisdom. Though he was stubborn
sometimes, his generosity & unwavering support were a source of comfort to all who
knew him; he had a heart of gold. Jacob was eager to obtain his G.E.D., but he decided
he always wanted to be available to help anyone who needed a lending helping hand.
He was a wonderful worker, a man of integrity. He enjoyed every opportunity he had to
go home “JEMEZ.” His legacy will live on; he truly left a print on everybody who knew
his heart. He will be forever & always missed.
Jacob was preceded in death by his grandmother, Tomasita, and grandfather, Salvador
“Chubby” Martinez, and his Brother Christopher Martinez.
