Jacob Moore Obituary

With the heaviest heart, we share with you that our sweet Jacob has passed away. He was 13 years old, and he filled our lives with light, laughter, and unconditional love.

Jacob's life wasn't easy, but he lived it with curiosity and strength and a joy that inspired everyone who knew him. His smile could melt hearts, and his presence made our family whole. We are shattered by this loss, and there will never be enough words to describe how much he meant to us.

Jacob always gave the best hugs and had the best giggles. He especially loved spending time with his grandma and siblings, jamming to dance music, playing in water and swinging in anything!!... and he hated green beans and sitting still!!

Jacob was a student at Chattanooga Valley Middle School where his teachers shared in his joyfulness every day.

Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers as we begin to navigate life without him. Hold your loved ones close. Every moment truly is a gift.

Jacob is survived by his mother and stepfather, Janna and Charles Hixson and his father Benjamin Moore; his siblings, Madeline and Eli Moore; his stepbrother Alex Hixson; his grandparents, Louise and Allen Crowell and Patricia Stettler Wood; his uncles and aunts Joshua Moore (Michelle), Stuart Wood (Jonesy), Andy Baynham (Ann) and his many cousins, and teachers who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Bill Wood, and Douglas and Jeanette Moore.

Services were at Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home in Lafayette, GA with visitation on Sunday, July 13, from 4-7 p.m. Funeral services were held Monday, July 14, at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to GoFundMe - Jacob Moore Memorial Garden and Swings:

I am so sorry to hear of Jacob`s passing. I was the Cafeteria manager at his elementary school. He came so far in his time at Chattanooga Valley Elementary. We were so proud of all his accomplishments. He was such a sweet young man. Please know how very sorry I am for your loss.
