Jacob Redecop

Funeral services for Jacob Redecop, age 68 of Seminole, Texas, will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Community Church with Pastor Dave Klassen officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

Mr. Redecop was born in Mexico on June 15, 1956 to Katharina (Wiebe) and Peter Redecop. He married Margaretha Hiebert in Seminole on December 21, 1986. He was a heavy equipment operator and attended Community Church. Jacob enjoyed listening to music, traveling, and playing with his grandchildren.

Jacob Redecop passed away May 7, 2025 at Covenant Health Center in Hobbs, New Mexico. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister and one brother-in-law. He is survived by his wife, Margaretha Redecop of Seminole; two sons, Peter Redecop and wife Lisa of Plains, Texas, and Abe Redecop of New Braunfels, Texas; one daughter, Margie Martens and husband Peter of Welch, Texas; five grandchildren; five brothers, Henry Redecop and wife Marge, Ben Redecop and wife Elisabeth, Peter Redecop and wife Judy, John Redecop and wife Susan, and Benni Redecop and wife Margaret, all of Canada; five sisters, Helena Wolf, Elizabeth Friesen and husband Isaac, Maria Neufeld and husband Pete, Katharina Redecop, and Sara Redecop, all of Canada.
