Mrs. Burns' family has lovingly provided the following obituary.

Lenora Faye Ridens Burns, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully left this earth on October 11, 2025, at the age of 97. She was born to David Ridens and Leona Woods and raised by David and Modena Ridens in on the family farm just south of Seminole in Gaines County, Texas. On April 18, 1947, Lenora married the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Burns in Mapel, TX, and together they built a beautiful life rooted in faith, family, and hard work. They were blessed with two children, David Hurley Burns and Karen Elaine Burns Starkey. Lenora worked for Piggly Wiggly for 18 years, where she was known for her dedication and hard work. Saturdays were her favorite-filled with house cleaning, the sound of old-time country and gospel music on her radio, and the smell of something delicious in the oven. Her chocolate pies and cakes were famous among family and friends. She loved square dancing and traveling with Bob and their many dear friends. Lenora also loved playing games with family and friends

and was quite competitive, always ready for a good laugh and a challenge. In her early years, she enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, and sewing, creating bridal gowns for her daughter and granddaughters-each stitch a labor of love. Lenora is survived by her loving family: David and Lois Burns of Lake O' the Pines, Texas; Karen and Kenneth Starkey of Lake O' the Pines, Texas; grandchildren Brandi and John Crow of Poetry, TX; Amy and John Edmonds of Jefferson, TX; Toby Berryhill of Seminole, TX; Cody and Carrie Burns of Greenbrier, AR; and Tori Contreras of Seminole, TX; as well as bonus grandchildren Glen and Kena Whitfield of Throckmorton, TX; Jeff and Stacey Keller of Newnan, GA; Shayne and Becky Starkey of Eunice, NM; and Tammy and Steffany Starkey of Plains, TX. Lenora is also survived by her sisters, Ann Green of Belleville, Illinois, and Nettie Dyke of Midland, Texas, along with numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was

preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters, and two brothers.
