Jacob Strong Obituary
Jacob Russell Strong, 39, of Salt Lake City, passed away Monday, September 1, 2025, due to complications related to anaphylaxis after being stung multiple times by wasps. He was exploring in the mountains he loved at the time of his passing.
He was born on December 26, 1985, in Las Vegas, Nevada, to Gerald Leon Strong and Pauline Strong.
Jacob had a remarkable spirit of curiosity and exploration. Whether wandering the woods in search of arrowheads, combing for hidden treasures with a metal detector, or simply setting out on spontaneous adventures that included camping in caves, and discovering new places that others were unaware of. He lived with an unshakeable sense of wonder.
Jacob is survived by his siblings: Carma Strong, Tammy Strong, Donald Strong, Sharon Strong, Kelly (Melanie)Strong, Rebecca Strong, Caroline Strong McGough, Michelle (Chris)Rogers, Spencer Strong, Camilla Strong, Rachael (Ryan) Osguthorpe. as well as many nieces and nephews. Jacob was preceded in death by his brother Matthew James Strong and by both of his parents, Gerald and Pauline Strong.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Wheeler & Sundberg Funeral Home, 211 East 200 South, Springville, with a viewing held that morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery, 1997 South 400 East in Springville.
