Jacob Arthur Williams was born September 19, 1978 and passed
away on July 12, 2024. He is survived by his sons Johnathon,
Esau, Elijah; step daughter Hanna; sister Dayna and step father
Richard Moreno. He is predeceased by his mother Tracy Lynn
Moreno.
Jacob was born in Houston, Texas and was 45 years of age at the
time of his death. He was born to Danny Williams and Tracy Lynn
Williams. He grew up in several cities through his childhood,
Floresville, San Antonio, North Chicago, Zion, Waukegan,
Schofield Barracks then back to San Antonio where he lived the
rest of his life. He also played football during his middle and high
school years. He enjoyed playing tight end on the defense of side.
He graduated high school out of Paulding High School, Dallas
Georgia in June of 1998.
Upon returning to the States, Jacob and Lanette Gonzalez met
and had Johnathon Williams who is now 24 years of age. A few
years later, Jacob made the decision to marry Monica Watkins
who took his name and were married for 12 years. They were
married in
San Antonio, Texas and Monica already had Hanna
Gonzales who Jacob loved as his very own daughter. They had
two sons, Esau Williams who is now 20 years of age and Elijah
Williams who is now 19 years of age.
Jacob entered in the Military in the US Army Reserve on 27 March
2000 where he did his Basic Training at Fort Benning, Georgia and
his Advance Individual Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
His Military occupation was a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, MOS:
62B1O, and specialized in the maintenance and repair of heavy
equipment, such as tanks and other combat vehicles. He also
served Active-Duty time during in support of Operation Enduring
Freedom in Uzbekistan and in Afghanistan. Jacob was awarded
the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal,
National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary
Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Army Service Ribbon and
held a Marksman Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Rifle
bar. He received an Honorable Discharge on 20 February 2003.
Jacob, was a great mechanic and loved working on cars. He
worked at Red McCombs as a Service Manager and Director of
the quick lane tire and auto center. Ingram Park Nissan as a
Service Advisor. World Car Buick Pontiac GMC as a Shop
Manager and for the City of San Antonio as a Heavy-Duty
Equipment and truck mechanic.
Jacob, enjoyed the outdoors and loved spending time fishing any
chance he could get away. As well with his childhood playing
football, he enjoyed watching his team the Pittsburgh steelers
playing football. Just like one of his favorite players he always
joked about, Hines Ward known as Smiley. Jacob, always had a
great smile on him wanting everyone around him to be happy.
One of Jacobs most important decisions in life, was his Profession
of Faith in accepting Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.
He made this decision while living in Waukegan, Illinois in 1993 at
Bible Baptist Church. He also made the choice of following in
obedience in believers' baptism and getting baptized on 11 April
1993.
