Gerry Jo McCartney, 79, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 12th, 2023, in
San Antonio, TX. She was born February 21st, 1944, in Joplin, Missouri to Geraldine
Meyers.
Gerry was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and
homemaker. She spent very liJle Kme alone as she always seemed to have at least
one or two grandchildren at her side. She kept an "open door" policy at her home
and all her children knew that if they needed something, all they had to do was
ask. Although she was very loving and caring to her family, you always knew
where you stood when she gave you that look and baJed those eyes!
Gerry was a great cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends,
especially over the holidays. She was also an avid sports fan and loved her
Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns.
UnKl her health declined, Gerry lead a very acKve life and was always on the move
or doing something around the house. Even in her final days, she never seemed to
just sit and rest. She was a good athlete in high school and excelled in several
sports. Her energy and enthusiasm were unmatched!
She is survived by her husband, Randy McCartney; daughter, Cindy Robalin, sons,
Michael and wife, Cindy, Klein, Steven and wife, Donna Klein, and Jason and wife,
Julie McCartney. Grandchildren: JusKn (Leilani), Jessica, Jeremiah (Salinda),
Jameson (Analise), Lane (Carlton), Kendall (Clayton), Colt, KaKe (Chad), Cade and
Zane (Monica). Great Grandchildren: Solomon, Verona, Nova, Malayah, Kylie,
WyaJ, Esa, Elli, Valena, Ainsley, Addison, and Finneas as well as numerous nieces,
nephews, cousins and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine Meyers; brother, Steve Shelton;
and son, Johnny Klein.
Gerry was loved by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family and
friends.
Services will be held Saturday, July 8th, 2023, from 11-1pm at Funeral Caring USA,
6500 IH 35, San Antonio, Tx 78218
