Jacob Daniel Wilson, age 26, of North Mankato, died Friday, March 29, 2024 at his home.
Celebration of life will begin at 11am, Friday, April 5, 2024 at Northview - North Mankato Mortuary led by Pastor John Odegard. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service. Please share a memory of Jacob with his family and view his video tribute online at www.mankatomortuary.com.
A memorial service will be held at Utica Lutheran Church near Mt. Sterling, WI at a later date.
Jacob was born November 30, 1997 in Prairie du Chien, WI to Timothy and Jolene (Sime) Wilson. He graduated from Janesville High School in 2016.
Jacob loved cooking and baking. He was always trying something new and started creating new recipes, even as a child. Throughout high school, Jacob enjoyed working at Old Country Buffet in the bakery. Most recently, Jacob was the General Manager of Noodles & Company near the MSU campus.
Jacob was spontaneous, fun, and caring. He loved traveling and trying new things. His laughter was contagious, and he loved to laugh at the little things. Jacob was always willing to help others and would show up whenever there was a need. He spent a lot of time hiking and getting muddy with his dog, Mocmo, who was his pride and joy. They were a perfect match. In his spare time, Jacob also enjoyed thrifting and refurbishing furniture. He treasured spending time with his family, whether it be a game night or going out for dinner.
Jacob will be forever remembered by his mom, Jolene Wilson, of Janesville; father, Timothy Wilson of Columbia, SD; brother, Tylor (Mici Van Raam) Wilson of Mankato; brother, Ash (Jaz Henderson) Wilson of Eagan; sister, Amber Wilson of Janesville; brother, Calvin Wilson and his mom, Wendy, of Aberdeen, SD; maternal grandmother, Sandra Sime of Prairie du Chien, WI; paternal grandfather, Richard (Michelle) Wilson of Columbia, SD; paternal grandmother, Betty (Ward) Gilchrist of Aberdeen, SD; and his dog, Mocmo.
Jacob was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Herman Sime; paternal great-grandmother, Pearl Wilson; aunt, Robyn Peterson; and uncle, Daniel Sime.
