Jacque "Jackie" Jarnae Turner left this world peacefully on the morning of Friday, March 21st, 2025, after a battle with Alzheimer's. She was the firstborn of Mary "Judy" and Lee Marcum in Kansas City's Westside neighborhood as Jarnae "Jackie" Jeane Marcum. Her brother Lee Marcum II followed, and the family ventured to the Ruskin Heights and Grandview area. When her mother met Dennis, the family relocated to Parkville, and she gained additional siblings and later took the name Jacque Jarnae Brundige.
She attended Park Hill North Junior High / Park Hill Senior High School. She participated in Track, was a manager for the Wrestling Team, and enjoyed the arts, creating pottery and painting. She loved animals, Twiggy and Teddy were her childhood dogs, and she even had a pet raccoon. Jackie bartended for a few years after returning from KU and then ventured into screen printing, starting at Artex, and then managed and co-owned Graphic Imaging. She met her soulmate, Tom, who would allow her soul to fly and keep her grounded at the same time. She was a mystical soul who would enjoy a cold can of Dr. Pepper or a Kombucha, depending on the day, just like her music, from classic rock to reggae. She enjoyed their casino trips, their entire backyard garden, her crystals and rocks, the trips they took to mine their treasures, and a good cold bourbon and coke.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary "Judy" & Dennis Brundige, and Lee Marcum, brothers, Chase Brundige and Travis Marcum, sister, Christina Marcum.
She leaves behind her husband, Merl Thomas "Tom" Turner; stepmother, Carla Marcum; brothers Lee "Chucky" (Kim) Marcum and Tyler (Shari) Brundige; sister Brooke; along with their families; Aunts and many cousins x4 and an abundance of friends. Her Kind, Generous, Loving Heart, with a whole lot of SPUNK will be deeply missed.
Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
unseen, unheard, but always near,
still loved, still missed and very dear
