Mrs. Jacqueline Ann Davis Orr, age 92, affectionately known by those who loved her as Jackie, passed away at the home she shared with her daughter and son-in-law in Cartersville, Georgia in the early morning hours Sunday, December 28, 2025.
Jackie was bornin Urbana, Illinois, the only daughter of Clay and Stella “Pat” Davis. When she was 2 the family moved to Dalton, where her dad managed a bakery that later became Davis Bake Shop. Dalton was her life-long home.
In 1951 she married the love of her life, William “Bill” Orr. They soon built their home on Olive Way. There they raised and nurtured their 2 daughters and 2 sons. Olive Way was her heart and home.
Jackie loved her Lord and was devoted to her church and her faith community. She was cherished by those who called her friend. She was adored by her family, a circle that only grew with every union and birth.
Those who have gone before her are her parents, Clay and Pat Davis, her loving husband of 53 years, Bill Orr, her daughter Judy, her daughter-in-law Kim, and her granddaughter-in-law, Jill.
Those who know her as Mom and Grammy will continue to celebrate her life, witness and legacy. Her children and their spouses: Debby and George Crim, Dave and Sandy Orr, and Clay and Cathy Orr. She was so proud of her 9 grandchildren: Matt (Hailey), Scotty (Lauren), Mandy (David), Tyler (Kelsey), Andrew (Josie), Chris (Melissa), Brian (Nikayla), Clay (Laurin), and Jake (Liana). She was blessed with 11 precious great-grandchildren: Benjamin, Josephine, Stella, Layla, Bates, Etta, Griff, Story, Colette, Addison, and Caroline.
Services to honor and celebrate Jackie’s life will be conducted Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Love Funeral Home. Her family will receive friends there from 12:00 to 2:00. Jackie will be laid to rest next to her loving husband, her daughter, and her parents at Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to ChristChurch Presbyterian, 510 S. Tibbs Road, Dalton, GA 30720.
