Jacqueline Marie Boccardi
"Loving mother, grandmother, sister & aunt"
Jacqueline Marie Boccardi, 70, of Waterbury, entered into the gates of heaven on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Waterbury Hospital.
Jackie was born in Waterbury on December 16, 1953, a daughter of the late Anthony R. and Helen (Szynkowicz) Boccardi. Jackie attended Mt. Carmel Grammar School and was a graduate of Kennedy High School. From a young age, she starting playing the accordion and continued to do so throughout her life, always playing for friends and family.
One important accomplish Jackie made was when she received her nursing degree, and went on to practice as a License Practical Nurse until her retirement. Having touched the lives of many, she was everyone's favorite Aunt (Wacky) Jackie, and leaves behind many loving friends.
Jackie always loved spending time on the beach, especially during summer vacations in Atlantic City. Countless memories were made with her son Tony traveling over a variety of different locations, something she adored. Not only did Jackie love cooking, but she always enjoyed trying a new recipe out of her recipe book. During the summer months, she would always be found tending to her garden and loved her cat.
Jackie leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Antonio Mancini Jr. of Watertown, and her four sisters, Cindy Petrucci and her husband Mike, Ann Marie Kozloski, Gina Hankey and her spouse Dawn, and Janice Boccardi, all of Waterbury. She also leaves behind her grandson, Daniel Weiner, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Danny E. Weiner.
Arrangements: Calling hours for Jackie will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial, the Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury. Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
