Jacqueline (Rogers) Cantara, a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on August 14, 1934, in Methuen, Massachusetts, she was the beloved daughter of the late Earl and Rose (Plouffe) Rogers.
Jacqueline was married for 65 wonderful years to her devoted husband, John E. "Jack" Cantara. A dedicated homemaker, she found great joy in the simple pleasures of life - knitting, crocheting, cooking delicious meals baking her delicious chocolate chip cookies, and solving puzzles with a quiet determination and thoughtful mind.
Jacqueline is lovingly remembered by her children: Kenneth Cantara and his wife Lynn of Nashua, NH; Thomas Cantara of Hudson, NH; Maria Keller and her husband Matt of Hudson, NH; Kathryn Cantara of Hudson, NH; and Margaret Doucette and her husband Roger of Nashua, NH. Her legacy continues through her 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter, all of whom brought immense pride and joy to her life. Jacqueline is also survived by her siblings: Earl Rogers Sr. and his wife Clara of Ohio; Dolores St. Pierre of Auburn, ME; Priscilla Poulin of Andover, NH; and Earlene Wormald of Epsom, NH; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving husband John, beloved son, Peter Cantara, and her brother, Kenneth Rogers.
Relatives and friends are invited to Jacqueline's visitation on TUESDAY, May 6th from 4 until 7 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her graveside service and interment will be held on WEDNESDAY, May 7th at 10 AM in the New Hampshire State Veteran Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen, NH. Kindly meet at the cemetery by 9:40 AM.
