Jacqueline Hazel Fairhurst (Hanson) passed away on January 11, 2025, in Newport Richey, Florida. Born on June 19, 1936, in Hodgdon, Maine, Jacqueline lived a full and vibrant life
Jacqueline was a cherished mother, sister, nana, gigi, and friend. She is survived by her four children: Kevin Schools, Tammie Fairhurst and her husband Lynton, Jeffrey Schools and his wife Lucy, Bret Schools and his wife Renee; her brother, Larry Hanson and his wife Linda; and her sister, Ruth Townsend. Jacqueline was also blessed with ten grandchildren: Brandon and Savannah Fairhurst, Danielle Owens, Kelsey Fortin, Kaitlyn Wurtzel-Wade Schools, Jessica Paige, Jackie Lynch, Nicole Callahan, and Kaylee Schools, as well as fifteen great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, John and Luella Hanson; two brothers, Johnny and Jim Hanson; a daughter-in-law, Deborah Schools; and a grandson, Jason Schools.
Jacqueline found joy in life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed traveling to new places, spending time with family and friends, indulging in fine dining experiences, and visiting the casino for entertainment.
May Jacqueline's memory bring comfort to all who knew her. A private family burial will take place on March 31st, in Windsor, Connecticut.
