Jacqueline Elaine Glover passed away on December 27, 2024, at Belton Regional Medical Center in Belton, Missouri. She was born on July 13, 1938, in Kansas City, Kansas to John and Ruby (Allen) Henderson. Jacqueline grew up in Kansas City, Kansas. She graduated from Sumner High School in Kansas City, Kansas in 1956. After high School she attended Pittsburgh on State University in Pittsburg, Kansas for one semester to pursue her dream of becoming a teacher.
She began work for Social Security Payment Center where, she met her husband of 62 years, Leroy Glover Sr Jacqueline also worked at Western Electric which changed to AT&T where she retired. After she retired from AT&T she worked for the IRS for five years before she retired for good in 2000.
Jacqueline married Leroy Glover Sr. in 1961, in Kansas City, Missouri. They were happily married for sixty-two years until his passing on July 26, 2023. Jacqueline was a member of Good Samaritan Baptist Church and then Abiding Faith Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing in the choir.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leroy Glover Sr.; her parents, John and Ruby Henderson; one son, Glen Edward Henderson, one brother, John Henderson Jr.; three sisters, Dorothy White; Rose Betts; Idora Henderson.
Jacqueline is survived by her children one daughter, Roxanne Glover; three sons, Ronald Henderson; Leroy Glover Jr.; and Vincent Glover (Tonya); eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews; other relatives; and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday January 4, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel 1800 East Linwood Blvd. KCMO 64109. Interment: Leavenworth National Cemetery. Visitation:9:00am-11:00 a.m. at the Chapel. Arrangements entrusted to Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapels. Condolence may be shared on our website lawrenceajones.com.
