Jackie was always one for getting the most out of what life had to offer. During her childhood years in Wadsworth IL, she enjoyed horseback riding with her lifelong friend Mellodie Lukas, outdoor activities, and having fun with friends and family. She then enjoyed a career as a bookkeeper and accounts manager.
In 1991, Jackie was united in marriage to her loving husband, Joseph Hoffmeier. Jackie and Joe had many shared interests, including buying and selling antiques and glass collectibles, gardening and traveling. Although an aneurysm and stroke almost 15 years ago caused many physical and medical obstacles, Jackie never gave up her strong will, zest for life, and appreciation of time spent with Joe and her family.
Jackie is survived by her loving husband of 33 years Joseph Hoffmeier, her brother John (Connie) Jacquette of Grayslake, her nephews and niece CJ, Morgan and Nick, as well as brothers and sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Beverly Jacquette.
A Visitation and Funeral Service will be held at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 on Sunday, November 10, 2024 from 3pm until 7pm, with a funeral service beginning at 7pm. Jackie and I worked together for many years at CF Industries. I think of her often. My condolences to her family and all who knew and loved her.
