Sharon June Hoffmeier, age 85, passed away Friday, July 18, 2025, in Iola, Kansas. Sharon was born to George and Edna (Drake) Potter on May 25, 1940, in Iola. She was to married Don Hoffmeier, who preceded her in death on March 2, 2025.

In her younger years, Sharon ran an auto auction house in Sedelia and Warsaw, Missouri. She worked for USD #257, Iola Public School District for almost 15 years before retiring. In her free time, Sharon enjoyed playing golf with her friends. She also enjoyed gardening, quilting and traveling. After retirement, she and Don loved traveling to Colorado, Wyoming and spending time visiting lakes. She was a country girl and heart!

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband Don; her parents George and Edna Potter; son Brock Stotler; brothers Kenneth Potter and James Potter; sister Evelyn Weatherman; and other family members Kirk Weatherman and Jayme and Steve Appling.

Sharon is survived by her sons Joe Stotler of Iola, and Danny Stotler of Burlington, Kansas; grandchildren Justin Stotler and wife Kristin of Iola, Cara Kitch of Columbus, Kansas, and Jamie Roach and husband Chris of Olathe, Kansas; great-grandchildren Emalee, Colton and Bailey of Iola; and additional close family members Jan Williams, James Williams and son Jace of Iola, Ramona Applegate, Kellie June Loyd and husband Benny of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Douglas and wife Theresa Applegate of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Neil Weatherman and wife Mary, Kenny Sue Miller and husband Eric, Maci June Miller, Kristin Harper and husband Christian of Iola, Kyle Potter, Becky (Potter) Welsh and son Samuel Rowe, Cody Conley and wife Bri and Chase Appling.

A memorial service for Sharon will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 10:00 A.M., in the chapel at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas. Inurnment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Iola. The family suggests memorials to St. Timothy's Episcopal Church and those may be left in care of the funeral home.
