Alvin Hoffmeier Obituary
Alvin Glover Hoffmeier, a devoted family man and successful entrepreneur, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, in Johnston County, North Carolina. Born on December 9, 1937, in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, Alvin lived a full and vibrant life of 87 years.
Alvin was the beloved husband of Charlene H. Hoffmeier, with whom he shared a loving marriage of nearly 63 years. Together, they built a beautiful family and a legacy of love and dedication. He was a proud father to his sons, Eric M. Hoffmeier, Heath D. Hoffmeier, and cherished his daughters-in-laws, Carrie L. Hoffmeier and Bernadette R. Hoffmeier.
A man of great ambition and skill, Alvin was the self-employed owner of several successful flooring companies. His work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit were admired by all who knew him. Before embarking on his business ventures, Alvin served his country with honor as an A&E Crew Chief of the B47 Strato Jet in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1958.
Alvin found immense joy in watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. He was a dedicated fan of Pittsburgh Steelers football, often sharing his enthusiasm for the game with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Herman E. Hoffmeier, his mother, Thelma B. Hoffmeier Parris and his brother, Herman F. Hoffmeier. Alvin leaves behind a loving family, including his grandchildren Stephanie H. Andersen, Jessica E. Hoffmeier, Julia N. Bell, Erica R. Hoffmeier, and Noah C. Hoffmeier, as well as his great-grandchildren Erin L. Ball and Lillie O. Matthyssens.
In accordance with Alvin's wishes, no formal services will be held. His family will honor his memory privately, cherishing the knowledge that he is with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Alvin Glover Hoffmeier will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his entrepreneurial spirit, and his love for life. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
