Obituary of Jacqueline Jorgensen
Jackie passed away at home in Centralia, Washington, on April 26, 2023.
She was born to Glen and Lillian Clark in Detroit, Michigan, on October 7, 1937. She had three brothers and one sister. In 1946, her family moved to Sonoma County, California, where she lived most of her life in Santa Rosa, retiring from the County of Sonoma.
Jackie married her childhood sweetheart, Bob Olson, in 1959. They had two daughters, Crystal and Jill. She later married the love of her life, Jim Jorgensen, in 1984. Jim passed away in 1992.
Jackie loved her Lord Jesus Christ and spent many an hour doing spiritual journaling and Bible study, leaving her daughters a treasure in prayers and journaling.
She also loved the ocean, especially the coast of Northern California in Mendocino and Fort Bragg. She and Jim loved taking their travel trailer to the coast. She loved going as often as possible. After Jim was gone, she lived on the North Coast of California for 10 years. She made some very dear friends who she tried to visit every year.
Jackie loved her special little dog, Buster, her companion that accompanied her everywhere with her for 12 years. She also loved an adventure and thought nothing of just taking off with Buster, usually to the ocean.
Jackie moved to Chehalis, Washington, to be near her daughter, Crystal, in 2003.
She belonged to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Centralia, where she found her spiritual community. Charla Dunham was a special friend.
In her last years, she lived at Stillwaters Senior Community and their Assisted Care at Colonial Residence, where she had some dear friends.
Jackie is survived by her daughters, Crystal Rosenberg (Don) of Chehalis, and Jill Olsen (Ed) of Rohnert Park, Calif.; brother, Mike Clark (Karen) of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim Jorgensen; beloved granddaughter, Katie McCann; sister, Judy Gabaldon; and brothers, Glen Clark and Larry Clark (Cathy).
Jackie believed in being attentive to your blessings and giving thanks. "A grateful heart is a joyful heart." -Ephesians 3:14-19
Special thanks to all the wonderful nurses and caregivers at Colonial, hospice staff, and all who came to visit her when she was too weak to go out. She loved every minute of her special visits from all.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
