Jacqueline Sue LaCombe passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at the age of 72 in a local hospital after battling a lengthy illness. She was born on September 17, 1951 in Jennings, Louisiana to Charles and Violet Miller Desjardine.
Jacqueline graduated from Iowa High School, and has been an office manager and apartment manager in the past, but mostly she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, organizing and caring for her beloved family.
Those left to cherish her memory are, her husband of 54 years, Floyd LaCombe; her children, Michael LaCombe (Cheryl), Matthew LaCombe and Micah LaCombe; her grandchildren, Chloe, Lily, Sophie, Gabe, Graceanne, Ava, Estelle, Nathan, Layla and Adrien.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Marcus LaCombe.
Her funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, September 14, 2024 in the Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles Chapel. Msgr. Jace Eskind will serve as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Graceland-Orange Grove Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 until the start of the service.
