Jacqueline Lane Obituary
Swampscott - Jacqueline Lane, 45, of Swampscott, MA, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025, after a courageous three-year journey with cancer. Born on April 25, 1980, in Trenton, NJ, she was a brilliant scientist, devoted wife and mother, and deeply kind-hearted woman.
Jackie earned her Ph.D. in genetics from Tufts University and conducted sleep and circadian rhythm research at Harvard and Massachusetts General Hospital. Her passion for science was matched by her love for travel, community, and serving the vulnerable.
She is survived by her husband, Kosta Tsioris; their children, Oliver and Penny; her parents, Jerry and Sharon Lane; sister, Stephanie Rainero (Alex); nieces, Isabella and Alexa; brother, Brian Lane (Katelyn); and nephew, Jackson. Jackie's life was marked by unwavering hope, humor, and faith.
Service Information: A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 7, at 3:00 p.m. at First Church of Swampscott. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a college fund established for Jackie's children at www.gofundme.com/f/in-honor-of-jackie-lane-tsioris-support-kids-college-funds?
