LETAVIS, Jacqueline (Vogl) - age 84 of Owosso, passed away October 30, 2024, after a long-time battle with Parkinson's Disease. Jacqueline was born October 11, 1940, in Ovid, MI to George and Alberta Lowe. She graduated from Ovid High School in 1958 where she was involved in FHA. After high school, she moved to Minneapolis where she studied the IATA airport codes. She then moved to Arlington, VA where she worked at the Pentagon before moving back to Michigan to start a family. She loved sewing and spending time at Higgins Lake (her happy place) with her family and grandchildren. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy and she was so very proud of them all. She met James Letavis in 1986, eventually got married and they continued to raise their combined families. She is survived by her husband, Jim; children, Teresa Vogl, Melissa Chapko, Phil (Julie) Vogl, Brian (Stacey) Vogl, Greg Letavis, Sherry Letavis, Shelly (Rick) Sliwa and Cindy Letavis; grandchildren, Nicole (Joel) Trego, Kyle (Kayla Hawkins) Chapko, Blake Vogl, Olivia Vogl, Caleb (Maddie Adams) Vogl, Brennan (Hannah Kariniemi) Vogl, Channing Vogl, Trevor West, Spencer West, Alayna West, Bailey West, Noah (Madison) Sliwa, Rebecca (Alex Bain) Sliwa and Erica Sliwa; great-grandchild, Orla Sliwa; sisters, Joanne Rooks, Kay (Garth) Bullard, Janice Brown and brother-in-law, Tom Bulson; also many nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Lowe, Alberta and James Serr and sisters, Dorothy Lowe and Sue Bulson. A celebration of her life will be on Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 1 PM - 4 PM at the Shiawassee Conservation Association, 4247 M-52, Owosso, MI 48867. Her family would like to thank the amazing people from Mid-Michigan Home Health and Hospice for the wonderful care they provided. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Parkinson's Foundation (www.parkinson.org).
