Jacqueline Lucas

Jacqueline A. Lucas, 84, a lifelong resident of Rockland, MA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, after a brief illness. Born in Weymouth, MA on March 30, 1941, Jackie was the eldest daughter of Clarence and Mary (Lawless) Kellstrand and the sister of Rosemarie McMann of Florida. Jackie's greatest joy in life was her family. She was the devoted wife of Daniel B. Lucas for 62 wonderful years. Together, they built a life rooted in love, laughter, and unwavering support. She was the cherished mother of Mark and his wife Mary Ellen of Methuen, and David and his late wife Claire of Hull. Jackie was the loving and proud grandmother, affectionately known as "Nana," to David Lucas, Rebecca Warner, Christopher Lucas, and Jeffrey Lucas. She was also a great grandmother to Liam, McKenna, Gavin, Callie, and Mason. Each of her grandchildren brought a special light to her life. Her presence in their lives was a constant source of warmth and joy. Jackie spent her professional life as a hairdresser however she loved gardening, sewing, spending time at the beach, dancing, shopping, and most of all, laughing with her family and friends. She and Danny shared many adventures traveling over the years to Florida, Bermuda, Hawaii, and their favorite destination, Cape Cod. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing her love lives on within us. Jackie will be sorely missed and never forgotten. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, July 29, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Sullivan Funeral Home, 45 East Water Street, Rockland, MA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 30, at 10:30 AM at Saint Bridget's Parish, 455 Plymouth Street, Abington, MA. Donations may be made in Jackie's name to the American Cancer Society.
