Jacqueline Ann Reimolds, 57, of Galesburg, Illinois, died Sunday, January 26, 2025 at University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa.
Jackie was born May 2, 1967 in Galesburg, the daughter of Nelle Rose (Lee) and Ashton Earl Blakewell, Jr. Jackie graduated from Costa Catholic School in 1982 and Galesburg High School in 1985. She attended Stewart's School of Hairdressing after high school, graduating in 1985. She worked as a hairdresser at Bergner's Hair Salon for 6 years, until she married. Working the last year as manager. Once she had children, Jackie gave up hairstyling as a career and only cut hair for family members.
Jackie is survived by five daughters, Emily (Chris) Miller of Galesburg, Ashley (Chris) Hammond of Galesburg, Erin (Christian Fancher) Reimolds of Galesburg, Allison (LeRoy Colins) Reimolds of Maquon, Illinois, and Samantha Byrd of Galesburg; and eight grandchildren, Reuben, Oliver, Kehlani, Adelyn, Kalem, Aerilyn, Zariah, and Xyla. Jackie is also survived by two sisters, Yvette Carpentier of Galesburg and Marna Blakewell of Altona, Illinois; and two brothers, Lee (Becky) Blakewell and Jon (Sara) Blakewell both of Galesburg. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents.
Family was everything to Jackie. No matter what, her children and grandchildren always came first. Being with them is what she enjoyed the most. She was always the family hairdresser no matter the occasion. She loved collecting Bismuth Crystals and enjoyed completing crossword puzzles. Jackie had a strong faith in God and family.
Cremation will be accorded. Private family services will be held. Burial of cremated remains will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Galesburg, Illinois. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Watson Thomas Funeral Home.
