Jacqueline "Jackie" Storks, 90, of Peoria, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Carle Health Proctor Hospital in Peoria with her family by her side.
She was born in Burlington, Iowa to Paul and Lucille H. Conn Mack on November 5, 1934. They preceded her in death, along with four sisters; and one brother.
Surviving are two children, Jody Geltz, Jon Storks; two grandchildren, Brooke and Mason Geltz; niece, Nancy Honings; and several other nieces and nephews.
Jackie worked for the state of Illinois for many years. She loved being a grandma to Brooke and Mason. She was always there to cheer and support them in their activities. She loved our vacations to Florida and going to St Louis Cardinal games. She was most happy spending time with her family. She always had a special way about her that made people love her. Our hearts are broken and she will be dearly missed.
Cremation has been accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.

I met Jackie while I was a caseworker at Lutheran Social Services and then years later at Department of Children and Family Services. Whenever she answered her phone I could hear the smile in her voice, She was kind, thoughtful and a bit sassy at times yet always willing to help with issues in completing the necessary mountains of paperwork.
She was so proud of her children and her niece Nancy.I felt she was more than a work coworker but a friend.
May fond memories give you strength during this time, Joyce Glawe
