Jacqueline Marie Waller

Jacqueline Marie Waller (affectionately named "Barrel House Bessie" by her Godmother Katherine Chandler), 80, of Bayonne, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025, at Hoboken University Medical Center in Hoboken, NJ. Born on June 25, 1945 at Bayonne Hospital and a lifelong resident of Bayonne, Jacqueline lived a life marked by faith, service, music, and deep love for her family and community.

Jacqueline was educated in the Bayonne Board of Education school system and was a proud graduate of Bayonne High School. She dedicated many years of service as a Clerk in the Hudson County Register Office of Deeds and Mortgages, where her professionalism and kind spirit touched the lives of many.

A devoted servant of God, Jacqueline was a lifelong member of Angelic Baptist Church, where she served faithfully in numerous roles including Usher Board member, Nurse's Aide, Choir member, and Sunday School Superintendent. Her love for gospel music extended beyond the church walls, as she was also a proud member of the New Jersey Mass Choir. Jacqueline's faith and passion for music inspired those around her, and she found great joy in singing, playing the piano, and spending time with her family.

Jacqueline was predeceased by her beloved parents, Arrie Albert Finley, Sr. and Estelle Ruth Finley (Townes); her cherished children Towana Finley, Gregory Finley, and Baby Waller; grandchildren Sanai and Tamar Robinson, and her siblings Dolores Kemp, Lorraine Baskerville, Karen Pharmes, Arrie Albert Finley, Jr., Melvin Finley, Chester Finley, Keith Finley, and Dennis Finley.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children Dori Robinson (Larry Robinson) and Verna Waller (Wilbert Guarino); her dear grandchildren Dr. Tiesha Finley, Krystal Waller, Monet Waller, Paige Robinson; great-grandchildren Cayden Arnold and Zion Dixon and dear grandchildren Raymond Bullock and Marisol Santiago; her devoted siblings Janet Wilson, Emma Yelverton, Gwendolyn Alexander, sister/cousin Geraldine Kee, dear cousin Patricia Ann Jack, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Jacqueline's life was a testament to her unwavering faith, her musical gifts, and her boundless love for her family. Her melody of kindness and devotion will echo in the hearts of all who knew her.
