Jacquelynn McCarter Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Crawford / Ray Funeral Home from Mar. 30 to Mar. 31, 2022.
Canton – Jacquelynn Knight McCarter, age 70, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022.

A native of Haywood County, Jacquelynn was born September 30, 1951 to the late Billie Knight. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her children's father and Poppy of her grandchildren, Randy McCarter who passed away in 2013.

Jacquelynn was a 1969 graduate of Pisgah High School, and was employed by Lea Industries and also with the US Postal Service with many years of dedicated service. She held a deep concern for her friends, neighbors, and her community. She would always find a way to help those in need, whether it be cooking meals, running errands, or anything in between. Jacquelynn loved to decorate and each new season brought lovely new changes to her home. She was a strong-willed and determined lady and never wavered from her convictions. Jacquelynn always said her greatest achievement in life was that she "raised three awesome kids and six amazing grandbabies." We give thanks for the life of Jacquelynn Knight McCarter.

Surviving are her children, Cindy Hall and husband Myron of Bakersville, Christy McCarter of Clyde, and 1st SGT U.S. Army Thomas McCarter and wife Theresa of Webb City, MO; grandchildren, Stacy, William, Colton, Bella, Keagan, and Lexie and her fiancé Kris; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Queen of Waynesville, Judy Smith of Canton, and Mary "Tutti" Henson of North Augusta, SC; brother, Butch Knight and wife Debbie of Clyde; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and will be announced.
