Jacques Leclerc Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Myers-Baker Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. on Dec. 31, 2025.
Jacques Robert Leclerc, 75, residing in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 26, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born on April 13, 1950, in Québec City, Canada to the late Joseph and Rita (Levesque) Leclerc, he devoted his life to taking care of others both as a father and through his career as a physician.

Early on, Jacques dreamed of becoming a doctor and graduated from Laval University Medical School in 1974. After completing his training in hematology at McGill University in Montreal, he dedicated his life to the medical profession. Jacques started his career as a hematologist at the Montreal General Hospital where he became an expert in deep vein thrombosis, publishing many articles and several books on the subject. In 1996, he and his family moved to the United States where he worked in the pharmaceutical industry for many years. Later in his career, he worked as a physician in the Correctional Care system where he oversaw, coordinated, and provided medical care to patients in correctional facilities. He cherished his role in the Correctional Care system and looked forward to going to work every morning.

Jacques treated everyone with kindness, compassion, and respect; his acceptance of others knew no boundaries. He was a beacon of positivity with a refreshing outlook on life. He had a calming presence and an unparalleled ability to make anyone feel as though everything would be okay. He loved to make the people around him laugh, and he accomplished this with the numerous "dad" jokes that we heard countless times and will now forever miss. He had a brilliant mind, was a dedicated teacher and an artful storyteller.

Jacques is survived by his loving wife, Christine, and his four children, Alison (Wolfgang), Robert (AJ), Caroline (Alex), and Michael (Ilona). He was the beloved "Grandpa Jacques" to Chloe and Charlotte and "Papi" to Lahcen, Surah, and Ayah. He will be greatly missed by his brother Claude (Danielle) and his dear childhood friend, Andre (Josette).

A celebration of life will be held in Québec City at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (NACF) https://www.classy.org/give/541968/#!/donation/checkout.

Jacques' legacy of humor, hard work, and compassion will be carried on by those who had the privilege of knowing him. We will forever hold you in our hearts and will treasure the memories and time that we had together. May you rest in peace until we meet again.

Yesterday
