Jada "Joy" Gamble. Beloved wife of the late Harry C. Gamble, Jr. for 63 years. Devoted mother of Tom (Lori) Gamble. Cherished grandmother of Matthew, Michael, and Nathan Gamble. Joy passed away on September 8, 2025 at the age of 93 years. Joy was born on April 23, 1932, to Edna and Paris Smith. Born and raised in Mt. Healthy, Ohio, Joy was a graduate of Mt. Healthy High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts from Miami University. Joy remained a proud Miami alum throughout her life. She spent several years as a full-time elementary school teacher in the Northwest Local School District and as a substitute for the same. Joy was a dedicated member of the Mt. Healthy Garden Club, providing her green thumb expertise to Mt. Healthy civic beautification projects along with providing gardening and ground beautification to the Christian Villages at Mt. Healthy. Joy was an accomplished pianist, serving as organist at Mt. Healthy United Methodist Church for many years. Joy was predeceased by her husband, Harry C. Gamble, Jr., her parents, Edna & Paris Smith and her in-laws, Mildred & Harry Gamble. Joy is survived by her son, Tom, and grandsons Matthew, Michael and Nathan.

A private burial at Arlington Memorial Gardens.

Joy was lovingly cared for over the last three years by the incredible staff at Christian Village of Mt. Healthy. As such, in lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations for Jada "Joy" Gamble be made to the Christian Benevolent Association (CBA) Foundation (designated for the Grateful Hearts Program) at 411 Western Row, Mason, Oh 45040 or online at https://christianvillages.org/donate/ and select fund: Grateful Hearts Program. This fund supports the staff of the Christian Village in their time of need.
