Jade Blue Nelson, "Ma- Ishuu Nuba'sh (Two Eagles), 38, Minot, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones after a long fight with illness.
Jade was born March 2, 1987, the son of Wilma (Bell) Fyllesvold and Thomas Emil Nelson, in Deer River, Minnesota. He was raised and educated in New Town and then Minot, where he earned his G.E.D.
When Jade was five years old his dad, Dwight Fyllesvold, entered his life. Jade loved learning about working on trucks and motorcycles with his dad and his older brothers. His dad helped influence him to be a history buff and they spent many late nights together watching monster movies.
Jade was a natural storyteller. He had the ability to make people laugh, even while telling the most unfunny jokes. His mom spoke about car trips where she would have to pull over because she was laughing so hard.
He spent many summers at Pow Wows with his family, especially Little Shell Celebration.
Jade's greatest love was his daughters. He cherished his time with them and wished them to have happy lives, full of love and adventure.
Jade moved to Fargo in 2022 where he met Christina. Together they lived, laughed, and loved. In 2025, Jade and Christina moved to Minot. They got engaged at one of their favorite places, The Blue Rider.
Jade loved video games, anime, and playing the card game, Yu-Gi-Oh, with great friends he met over the years. He grew up in a house filled with music. He taught himself multiple instruments over the years. He often played music with family and was a longtime part of the DIY music scene in Minot, playing in many bands.
Jade's charisma and character reached further than he ever knew. He was loved by so many, and he loved them in return. He will be deeply missed and would wish for all his friends to lift each other up and take care of one another.
Jade's loving family includes: daughters, Remmi' Anne, Stella and Margot; dad, Dwight Fyllesvold; siblings, Tania Screaming Eagle, Anisa Osborne, Thomas Nelson, Ian Nelson; stepsiblings, Dean Fyllesvold, Derek Fyllesvold, and Donna Mrachek; fiancée, Christina Day; aunt, Beth Kjelson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many amazing friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Fyllesvold; father, Thomas Emil Nelson; grandparents; along with several aunts and uncles, and too many friends.
Celebration of Jade's Life: Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Carnegie Center, Minot. After his celebration of life family and friends are welcome to join us at the Blue Rider for drinks, music, and storytelling; some of Jade's favorite things.
