Jaedyn Christian Johnson

Jaedyn Christian Johnson gained his wings on April 27, 2025, at the age of 19, leaving his mark on everyone he knew. He was born on February 27, 2006, at Rockdale Medical Center in Conyers, Georgia. Jaedyn is the beloved son of DeAundra Johnson-Slaughter and her husband, Rico Slaughter. He was a cherished grandson to Mack and Beverly Johnson, a treasured brother to Demari Martin, Zion Johnson, and Journi Johnson. Jaedyn's family was his pride and joy, and he often referred to his mother as his twin, embodying a bond that was both unique and profound. He is also survived by his great-grandmother, Jessie Clemons, his uncle Marqaysias Johnson, and his aunt and uncle Kendric and Jamera Johnson, along with a huge number of great aunts and uncles who loved him dearly. Jaedyn was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, Lewis Clemons Jr., and his paternal great-grandparents, Charlie and Mattie Johnson.
A graduate of Rockdale County High School in 2024, Jaedyn was known for his intelligence and ambition. He was a dreamer with an unwavering passion for fashion and real estate, often filled with so many future plans that he couldn't choose just one path. His interests reflected his ambitious spirit, and he was excited about all that life had to offer.
Jaedyn was characterized by many as a "popular loner." He had a protective nature, was fiercely loyal, and embodied qualities of honesty that endeared him to friends and family alike. He cherished long conversations with his grandparents. Jaedyn had a remarkable ability to connect with those around him. No matter what, he would always answer the phone.
His love for his friends was boundless, and he took great joy in spending time with his siblings. Jaedyn had a generous heart, always wanting to buy his mother gifts and take her to places that would make her smile. This selflessness was just one of the many traits that showcased his wonderful spirit.
The family will hold a memorial service at Scot Ward Funeral Services on May 13, 2025, at 1:00 PM, where friends and family are invited to celebrate Jaedyn's life and reflect on the memories he created.
