On July 22, 2002 James and Patrina (Bates) Sanders blessed the world with a crowned queen that went by the name Liyah. Born Jailyn Aaliyah Ruth Sanders, affectionately known as JJ, Chocolate, Chocolate Drop, and Jai-love, Liyah was a ball of fire that burned brighter than the one above, and radiated pure love to all she considered family. She was beautiful, inside and out, she was loving and caring, and she was loyal. Her daughter, Trinity K M. Sanders, was a beacon of joy and a bright flame in the dark. Trinity brought an immeasurable amount of love and warmth into her world, and Liyah was so proud and elated to be her mother. Noone is perfect, and everyone has their own roads to travel, but Liyah was perfect in the eyes of those who truly loved her. She was a tough, yet sweet girl who had a true knack for seeing the green grass in a yard of dirt. Everytime she was seen, she was seen smiling and laughing. Being her true, carefree self. Liyah loved her siblings and shared an unbreakable bond with them all: Jaren Sanders (2007-2008), Journey Sanders, Joyous Sanders, Jeniune Sanders, Jabriean Sanders, and Jaydus Sanders; that was at times filled with sadness and pain, but with twice as much laughter and love. Together they have weathered storms, leaving no one behind. She held a special place in the hearts of her grandparents: Barbara Adams, Claudette Cook, Anthony Bates, Terry Chase, and Ron Towne; and that place now will forever be empty. One of Liyah's favorite hobbies was to write songs, which allowed her to express herself in her own light. Whether it was through music or spoken words, Liyah had a talent that allowed the people she chose to see into her. Liyah now rests with love. Her journey was a rough one, but it was filled with unwavering love and support from all whose hearts she has taken permanent residence, and on the night of Dec 08, 202023,23 her journey came to an end. She is missed and will forever be missed. P.O.LT.M.L Until we meet again, keep doing you.Stay beautiful shawty. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
