JAIME HERRERA Obituary
Mar. 5, 1970 - Oct. 30, 2023
Jaime spent his 53 years on this earth with an intrepid spirit and vigor for life until, on October 30th at the La Jolla Veteran's Hospital, when he left this earth for his next adventure.
After graduating from Calexico High School in 1988, he joined the Marines, was a bail bondsman, bounty hunter and girl dad, the most thrilling of all his jobs. Jaime veraciously sought thrills, beauty and fun through his love of art, music, nature, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Javier Herrera and brother Albert.
He leaves behind his wife, Ranjeet Thind; daughters, Daisey, Jasmine, Alexis, and Karla; mother, Hilda Herrera; siblings, Hilda Flores, Lisandro Herrera, and Isaac Herrera; and many loving nieces, nephews, grand-niece and extended family. He will also be deeply missed by his in-laws, Stella, Jeevan and Tod and his beloved friends. Jaime's creed: everyday a laugh, everyday a purpose, everyday an adventure.
Mass was held November 25, 2023 at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 135 Fourth St., in Calexico. Jaime will be laid to rest December 15, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. at Mira Mar National Cemetery, 5795 Nobel Dr., San Diego, CA. A Celebration of Life will be held December 16, 2023 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Emo Brown Art Space, 689 Marsat Ct., Suite B, Chula Vista, CA.
