Jakayla "Dimples" Alfred

Jakayla Roshanic Alfred known to some as "Dimples" was born November 10, 1993, in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Regina Alfred and Joseph Cornely. She received her diploma in 2013 and was a member of Union Zion Baptist Church. Ms. Alfred departed this life Monday, August 4, 2025, in Houston, Texas. She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughters, Lamaya Ned and Janiylah Alfred; mother, Regina Alfred; father, Joseph Cornely; sister, Tehera Alfred; brothers, Desmond Alfred and Jatorriun Boyd; aunts, Jaquanna (Christopher) Reed and Eureka Goodly; uncles, Frederick and Timothy Alfred, Shannon (Lynette) Guillory, Derrick (Anika) Guillory, and Anthony "Termite" (Bessie) Guillory; nephews, Jhyrn Joseph and Jyshawn Alfred; godparents, Brian and Odessa Kirkwood; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dominique Alfred; maternal grandparents, Frederick and Helen Alfred; and paternal grandparents, Joseph and Mary Guillory. Her memorial service is pending
