A Service of Christian Burial for Jake Heimann age 47 of West Point, NE will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Point, NE with family interment in the St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery. Everyone is welcome to join the family for a reception and to celebrate Jake's life at the Prinz Shed after the service. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Jake passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at St. Joseph's Hillside Villa in West Point, NE.

Jacob Paul Heimann was born on February 9, 1978 in West Point, NE to Jim and Alice (Hagedorn) Heimann. He attended Guardian Angels Elementary School, graduated from West Point High School in 1997, and attended Southeast Community College in Beatrice, NE. Over the years, Jake has worked for various farmers, worked as a groundskeeper at golf courses in Kansas, as a mechanic for Werner Trucking in Omaha, a welder at West Point Design, and for Ritter Feedyards.

On April 26, 2008, he was united in marriage to Alicia Deets. The brightest spot in Jake's life was his daughter, Kate.

Jake loved being outdoors hunting, trapping, fishing and air boating. He enjoyed horses and participating in horse shows, riding bulls at rodeos, watching and attending UFC Fights. Jake was proud that he taught his sisters how to punch the right way and loved spending time with his friends.

Tracy and Tom Custard of West Point, NE and children-Ethan, Madeline, and Ellie

Brian and Megan Preusker of Wisner, NE and daughter-Hayley

Rose Richards of Brooklyn, NY

Karen Richards of Brooklyn, NY

Grandmothers-Mary Heimann of West Point, NE

Roberta Hagedorn of West Point, NE

Several aunts, uncles, and their families also survive Jake.

Jake was preceded in death by his father-Jim, grandfathers-Paul Heimann and Bernard Hagedorn, aunt-Anne Heimann, and uncles-John Heimann and Dennis Wright.
