October 10, 1970 - July 17, 2025
With deep sorrow, we share the passing of Jake Martin, a beloved son, father, brother, friend, and cherished member of his family. Jake departed on July 17 at the age of 54, held in the arms of those who loved him. Jake was loyal and kind; he lived his life with a gentle heart that drew people close. He loved his daughters and hoped the best for them. Jake struggled with depression and addiction; while these challenges did not define him they were a
part of his journey. Through it all, he remained a loving man, a steadfast friend, and a man deeply loved by his family.
He is survived by his daughters Reyna and Alana, parents Robert and Ruth Martin, brothers Mat and David Martin. A small remembrance ceremony is being planned.

This is sad news. I have such fond memories of Jake. What a gentle soul. I guess my initial reaction is that he was a person you liked being around. Some people are fine to be around, some people make others uncomfortable, my gut recollection of Jake was that he was always someone you wanted to be around, the type of person that drew you in. Jake was a good person and classmate. I remember him from middle school all the way through West High. His loss is felt farther than you all know. Wishing you strength in this difficult time

I remember Jake as a very good football player on a team I helped coach at West High School in the mid-1980´s. His energy and enthusiasm was memorable and welcome, and I can picture his blond hair and big smile.
